Marketing Project Manager

NekoTech Ventures Inc. · Remote within Alberta · Full-time, permanent · $50,000 – $58,500

About us

NekoTech Ventures builds software for organizations that run on people. Our platforms include VoteAlly, secure online voting for HOAs, associations, nonprofits and boards; ChapterPulse, a chapter operations platform for PMI chapters; and MentorNeko, AI-powered mentorship matching.

Our customers are associations, chapters and member-driven organizations. They are a specific audience with specific problems, they talk to each other, and they buy on trust. Marketing here is not about volume. It is about being genuinely useful to a community that already knows what it needs.

We are a small Canadian software company. Small enough that the person in this role owns marketing end to end and sees the results of their own work; established enough that there are three live products with real customers to talk about.

The role

Right now our marketing happens in the gaps between everything else. Inquiries get answered late, good customer stories never get written up, and the conference we should have been at came and went. This role fixes that.

You will own how we reach associations and chapters: planning and running campaigns, writing the content behind them, handling the inbound interest they generate, and measuring what actually worked. You will book and run the webinars, get us to the right association events, write the case studies, and make sure someone who asks a question on a Tuesday hears back on a Tuesday.

It is a hands-on role. You will be writing the emails, not briefing someone else to write them.

About a third of the job sits on the other side of the sale. Our customers run real elections and annual general meetings with hard deadlines and no appetite for surprises. You will help get them there: coordinating onboarding, preparing and checking member data, running the pre-launch checks, and being on hand while the vote is live. It is the part of the role where you find out whether the marketing was honest.

You will work primarily through AI tools and agents, and we will train you on the ones we use. They take the grind out of drafting, research and analysis. The judgement stays yours. You decide what is worth sending, you check that it is right, and you are accountable for the quality of everything that goes out under our name.

What you'll do

Marketing, about two thirds of the role

  • Plan and run marketing campaigns across email, web and social for our product family. Build the calendar, write and produce the content, execute, and report on results against targets.
  • Produce marketing content and collateral. Website and product page copy, one-pagers, customer case studies drawn from live deployments, and the marketing content inside proposals and RFP responses.
  • Own inbound prospect handling. Respond to product inquiries, qualify interest, schedule and confirm demonstrations, and maintain structured follow-up and re-engagement sequences.
  • Plan and run marketing events. Webinars, association-sector conference presence, speaking submissions, and the promotion and follow-up around each one.
  • Measure and report on marketing performance. Define the metrics that matter, track campaign and channel results, run post-campaign analysis, and recommend where spend and effort should go next.
  • Design and run market and member research. Build surveys and questionnaires for prospects, customers and association members, coordinate collection, analyse results, and write findings into recommendations.
  • Build and maintain our social and digital channels. Publishing calendar, community engagement, and responses to public comments and inquiries.

Customer delivery, about a third of the role

  • Support customer onboarding and implementation. Coordinate schedules and working sessions, maintain configuration checklists, and assemble the customer-facing materials each rollout needs.
  • Prepare and validate member and voter data with the customer ahead of an election: review source data quality, apply the agreed eligibility rules, and reconcile what is loaded against the customer's own records.
  • Run pre-launch checks and support live voting events. Test ballots and notifications, monitor progress while voting is open, and handle first-line customer questions.
  • Produce customer-facing documentation. Runbooks, process guides and post-event reports.

Across both

  • Keep the delivery and marketing calendar honest across concurrent campaigns and rollouts.

What we're looking for

Required

  • A post-secondary credential in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, business or a related field.
  • Two or more years of experience planning and executing marketing or communications programs.
  • Demonstrated experience producing content for an external audience: campaign copy, web content, collateral, newsletters or publications.
  • Working experience with email marketing or marketing automation tools and the major social platforms.
  • Experience measuring campaign performance and reporting on results.
  • Genuinely strong written English. Most of this job is writing.
  • Legal entitlement to work in Canada, and based in Alberta.

Nice to have

  • B2B or SaaS marketing experience.
  • Experience marketing to associations, nonprofits, chapters or other member-driven organizations.
  • Experience designing surveys and reporting on the findings.
  • Experience contributing marketing content to proposals or RFP responses.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude. Training is provided either way.
  • Project coordination experience, or a project management certification (CAPM, PMP) or progress toward one.
  • Experience supporting customers through a software onboarding or implementation.
  • French. A good part of the Canadian association sector operates bilingually.

How to apply

Email careers@nekotechventures.com with:

  1. Your resume, including a link to your LinkedIn profile. If it is not on the resume, put it in the body of the email.
  2. A cover letter. We read these properly, and we would rather have something specific than something polished. Tell us why this role: what interests you about marketing to associations and member organizations rather than to a general audience.

Please put Marketing Project Manager in the subject line.

Applications without a cover letter will not be reviewed.

While we read every application, only shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview. The first conversation is with the CEO.
